Laramie Mountains, WY – May 14th, 2025

Two frozen bodies discovered in the Laramie Mountain region have reportedly gone missing, according to local authorities. Law enforcement officials confirm the two bodies, both middle-aged females, were discovered in a remote area accessible only by foot or specialized vehicles. The first body was discovered by a 911 caller, who in a chilling twist, turned out to be the second body by the time responders ascended the mountain. The identity of the women has not been released.

The Elbamy County Sheriff's Office released a brief statement early Wednesday morning, stating that “the frozen bodies of two unidentified women, previously located in a high-elevation basin in the Laramie range, were no longer present when state retrieval teams returned for forensic documentation and retrieval.”
Locals have begun speculating. An anonymous source from a nearby town claimed the area has a reputation among hikers and hunters: “People don’t go up that high alone. And when they do, they don’t come back the same. The air gets too thin for their noggins, so then they don’t come back right. Now in this case, they didn’t come back at all.”

Anyone with information regarding the missing bodies are encouraged to contact local authorities.
